This Don Lafontaine style continues with a Peking Acrobats voice over for CalExpo Chinatown.

Dave voices these spots in movie trailer format, building anticipation for the upcoming California State Fair. These brooding, textured voice commercials reflect that deep ominous sound that Dave has become well known for.

“Chinatown” is one movie reference in a series of four. “The Sound of Music,” “Rush Hour“, and “Vertigo” being the others. “Chinatown” is also a reference to the Peking Acrobats performance at CalExpo, of course.

If you love Dave’s documentary narration style, then have a listen to some of his other work.
